Applicants must be able to take responsibility for the running of the office and must have proven sales and project management experience within the industry.

In addition they must be able to:

  1. Manage and expand client accounts for services, including maintenance management and modernisation consultancy services
  2. Manage projects to MovvéO standards and write, formulate and issue proposals, site surveys, audits, reports, specifications, tender evaluations, submittal reviews, payment certifications, witness testing etc.
  3. Be commercially astute with good time management and productivity skills.
  4. Be computer literate including experience with corporate intranet and CRM and apps.

Previous Industry Related Requirements, Education and Experience

  • Sound and detailed lift & escalator knowledge – both for new equipment and existing (modernisation, maintenance) an advantage.
  • Project management and on-site works governance experience and best practice
  • Suitable academic qualifications.

HEAD OF ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

Location: Woking, Surrey

Responsible for all aspects of engineering and design for new lift and escalator installations.

Working with other consultants from concept to completion including initial design using “in house” expert system, delivering design reports, attending project meetings, compiling specifications, assessing tenders, carrying out site progress visits and final handover inspections.

A thorough knowledge of codes, standards and the ability to generate and/or direct others to produce bespoke CAD layout drawings including calculation of guide rail forces, structural and electrical loads is a vital part of the skill set required. An interest and/or knowledge of BIM and “Inventa” for 3D drawings would also be an asset.

PROJECT DIRECTOR – FACADE ACCESS

Location: Woking, Surrey

Previous Industry Related Requirements

Sound and detailed background – both new sales and existing (modernisation, maintenance) an advantage
Managerial experience – project management biased

Job description – Key duties and attributes

1. Project input shall include for but not be limited to the following activities. The writing, formulation and issue of proposals, site surveys, audits, reports, specifications to MovvéO standards, tender evaluations, submittal reviews, factory inspections, payment certifications, witness testing etc. in connection with the façade access services for projects. These shall generally be in a format approved by MovvéO in accordance with its quality standards.
2. Provide technical support when in the office.
3. Carry out and produce reports and specifications to MovvéO systems and methods.
4. Undertake specific projects, as required, to meet MovvéO development goals.
5. Carry-out loading and cleaning time analysis using in-house software.
6. Thorough computer skills and operate AutoCAD/ Revit independently.
7. Seek additional business opportunities.
8. Back up other members of the team as required.
9. Attend appropriate training for on-going CPD.
10. Attend architect and client meetings etc. on an ad-hoc basis as part of training towards full-time project consultancy work.
11. Working in accordance with current façade access codes and regulations (for example BS EN 1808 Safety requirements on suspended access equipment).
12. Work to MovvéO BS EN ISO 9001 Quality System.
13. Be commercially aware and work in a cost effective manner.
14. Investigate new concepts as and when required.
